Hi!

So, i managed to make this markdown thing work!

40 sleeping

I wanned to talk a little about this page and the reasons why i’m developing it.

I’m not a native english speaker so, sorry ~﹃~

Thank you for visiting!

I’ve been wating to create a journal a long time ago, and I feel like the neocities community is the perfect space for expressing yourself in any way you want.

Modern social media is something that doesn’t support creativity anymore and the old geocities mentality of “the web it’s yours” just got replaced by simple facebook, twitter or instagram profiles with barely any customizaiton.

But in a way i kinda understand why. Simplicity and accesibility are important thing to a lot of people and, the fact that you can just add a profile picture, banner and start posting, is in itself a powerfull way to easily connect with people. damn just creating this post system was a painfull experience… Even though i want a career as a web developer and i’ve been developing pages with react >︿<

I talked with cryptie about how modern web dev is boring and how i really liked their page. It bringed me to the “habbo hotel” “internet explorer with 2000 widgets” era /ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\

So they told me about indie web development and the neocities community about (1-2) years ago. And i felt like, damn this is the type of raw creativity i would like to have some day in my life.

I feel like i’m too much into perfectionism and i just can’t get anything done with the thought in my head that i’m not good enough. And i’m still doing it after spending more than a week into developing this journal X﹏X

I’ve been spending this last month or so into knowing who i really am. And how could i develop a “creative” page that represents that… I’m a really technical person, so a lot of my time was spent into learning how to code, but at the moment of trying to pick a color, or design a layout, it felt like a monumental task. I’ve never learned how to draw, how to color, how to write. But i think this is the moment to change that.

This neocities page is being developed with a terminal ui aesthetic in mind, mostly inspired by darkthemer’s system24 discord and spotify themes.

Better Discord and Spicetify are highly recommended!

To finish you can listen to La bochi /ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\
